Welcome to the Best Interests of the Child
Merely talking about children is not sufficient. There are literally hundreds of policy makers, researchers, human services professionals and others who have dedicated their careers and energies as advocates of the best interests of children. Still there are children at the margins of society, living well below what we would determine and hope for our own children.
This initiative is an effort to complement the extraordinary work already being done by so many. Its research aims to provide some synthesis of our collective thinking and best practice wisdom. We intend to provide opportunities for interaction with other stewards of the best interest of children so we can continue to be creative, intelligent and data-based in the policy and decision-making in the name of the best interests of children.
